Under onsdagskvällen kom den tragiska nyheten att Tina Turner, drottningen av Rock and Roll, har gått bort. Tina Turner blev 83 år gammal och dog i sitt hem i Schweiz på grund av den svåra cancern hon hade kämpat med i flera år. Tina Turner sålde över 150 miljoner skivor och vann 12 Grammys under sin karriär. Med sitt artisteri och sin musik har hon banat vägen för, och förblir en stor förebild för, artister och människor världen över.
Under natten har kondoleanser och minnestexter från artister och personer inom musikindustrin delats på sociala medier. På första sidan av Beyoncés hemsida är nu en bild på henne och Tina tillsammans med en text som lyder:
“My beloved queen. I love you endlessly. I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way. You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done”.
