Samtidigt som OVO-butik i London vandaliserats med Kendrick Lamar-text.
Enligt flera amerikanska medier har en person skjutits nära Drakes hem i Toronto. Enligt Toronto Police Service gör den senaste informationen gällande att det var en säkerhetsvakt som skottskadades. Mannens namn har ännu inte offentliggjorts, men han ska ha förts till sjukhus.
En representant för polisen i Toronto har sagt följande till Complex:
“This morning at approximately 2:00 a.m., police received a call for a shooting at a residence on Park Lane Circle. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. That man was taken to hospital with very serious injuries and remains in hospital. We cannot confirm if the owner of the residence was home at the time of the shooting. The individual who was shot was a security guard who was standing outside of the gates, in front of the home. He was shot and a vehicle fled the scene.”
Utredningen fortsätter och vittnen ska nu förhöras och videomaterial samlas in. Enligt CBS News ska det ha handlat om en drive by-skjutning och motivet är okänt.
Trots att Drake uppenbarligen inte skadats har många förstås redan kommenterat timingen, med tanke på hans pågående beef med Kendrick Lamar. Den senare använde så sent som häromdagen en bild på just detta hus på omslaget för disslåten “Not Like Us”, där markörer liknande de man ser i sexförbrytar-appar adderats.
Samtidigt kommer också rapporter om att en OVO-butik i London vandaliserats, även detta med indirekt koppling till Kendrick Lamar. Någon har nämligen taggat skyltfönstret på butiken med texten “They not like us”, en referens till Compton-rapparens ovannämnda disslåt.
