Som medieprofilen DJ Vlad tidigare påpekat, har flera kändisar med personliga kopplingar till Israel och Palestina valt att inte yttra sig kring tragedin. Däribland palestinskbördiga DJ Khaled som ännu inte fördömt Israels kallblodiga bombningar av Gaza som kostat drygt 30 000 människor livet.

Nu har även en av Khaleds närmsta kollegor gått ut och kritiserat beatmakaren och influencern för hans tystnad. I en intervju med “Shaheryar’s Stories” har entreprenören och filantropen Fadie Musallet delat med sig av sina åsikter.

“Unfortunately, y’know, everyone has their reasons. But there’s no reason, there’s no excuse when you’re actually a Palestinian. For me, my mother lives there, y’know what I mean? We’re from the same village, same families, so there’s no excuse.”

Om sin egen involvering i situationen säger han vidare:

“Right now, my heart and dedications are with Falasteen — I go there a lot. Like I said, my mother lives there. I do a lot of charity work with a lot of refugee camps there; I do a lot of fundraisers to raise money for Gaza and all the refugees outside of Gaza, in the West Bank.”

Enligt mediet Lovin Dubai har han också uppgett att han inte pratar med Khaled på grund av situationen.

“[Khaled and I are] not speaking right now because it’s all about Palestine, and if you’re not talking about Palestine, get out of my life”, ska Musallet ha sagt.
