Trots uppgifter från Wack 100 om att dj:n varit döende.
Den rutinerade dj:n DJ Kay Slay har sedan den 27 december haft en svår kamp mot covid-19 och tidigare i veckan kom uppgifter om att situationen inte såg bra ut. I onsdags gjorde Wack 100 gällande att Kay Slay var i riktigt dåligt skick och på väg att förlora kampen, men nu menar hans bror att 55-åringen är på bättringsvägen.
“He’s definitely not going to die. That right there…I’m not going to lie, I was jumping around. I was definitely happy. Kay Slay is a private dude and he didn’t tell anybody in the hospital who he was, and we was kinda getting average treatment. When they found out who he was, that’s when everybody stepped up treatment”, säger Kwame Grayson till HipHopDX.
“He was slowly fading away, but God didn’t let that happen. Everything in time and when they found out who he was, they got him powered up again. So he’s up and going. He’s like in a recovery state, but he’s definitely not going to die. You can trust me on that.”
Häromdagen postade även Snoop Dogg och flera andra en bild där folk uppmanades att be för Kay Slay. Och även om Wack 100 inte direkt är känd för sin integritet, samt att rykten om att Slay ska ha behövt en luftventil för att andas – verkar det faktiskt ha förekommit en period där familjen inte trodde att Slay skulle överleva.
“That was not a ventilator. I don’t know how they thought that, but it was not a ventilator he was on. It was a machine that was helping him breathe, but it was not a ventilator. I don’t know where they get this information. He was on a machine that was helping him breathe because he couldn’t breathe. A couple of days ago, he was in a state where everybody thought he really wasn’t going to make it”, fortsätter Grayson.
“I thought he wasn’t going to make it. He couldn’t even talk. But he was slowly fading out, but God is good. He’s not going to die. They’re going to move him to a private hospital, hopefully a joint where everybody can come visit him. But he’s not gonna die. That’s not in the cards. He’s in a recovery state. He’s getting stronger. He’s gonna be alright.”
