Killer Mike: "Atlanta will honor u always".
Ännu en rappare har skjutits till döds. Denna gång är det Atlanta-bördiga Trouble, vars riktiga namn var Mariel Orr, som enligt rapporter hittats död i söndags morse amerikansk tid. Enligt CBS46 fann polis en skottskadad Orr i en lägenhet i området Conyers efter att ha fått ett larmsamtal vid 3-tiden på natten. Han kördes kort efter till sjukhus där han förklarades död.
Polis har identifierat 33-åriga Jamichael Jones som mordmisstänkt och en häktningsorder har gått ut. Jones tros ha skjutit rapparen med ett skott i bröstet efter att ha hittat honom i en kvinnlig väns, möjligtvis flickväns, lägenhet.
“What we know and what I can tell you is that with Mr. Mariel Orr which is the victim was visiting a female friend at the complex and Mr. Jamichael Jones did know the female and it was a domestic situation. I know there are a lot of people that are really upset right now about the situation”, säger Jedidia Canty från Rockdale County i ett uttalande.

Kort efter beskedet bekräftade rapparens ex-flickvän, Alexis Skyy, uppgifterna om Troubles död.
“RIP @troubleDTE. I’m so sorry this happen to you Skoob. You didn’t deserve this. I’m praying for your kids and family.”
Rapparens bolag Def Jam Recordings har också gått ut med ett kort meddelande tillägnat hans familj och fans via Instagram.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the children, loved ones, and fans of Trouble. A true voice for his city and an inspiration to the community he proudly represented. RIP Scoob”, skriver man.
En annan som uttalat sig efter händelsen är Atlanta-ikonen Killer Mike, som är en av flera rappare från staden som sörjer sin kollega.
“I called ‘White Boy D’. I hated to make that call but I had too. Skoob u were a real one. Edgewood lost a Man amongst men and Atlanta will honor u always. I am numb bro. U deserved better than this. U deserved a long rich life. God bless the dead. God help the living. Love and Respect, Always”.
