I oktober släpper Los Angeles-rapparen sin officiella debutplatta via Aftermath/Interscope!

Det börjar sakta men säkert dra ihop sig för västkustens mest hyllade talang, Kendrick Lamar, att släppa debutskivan via storbolaget Interscope – med backning av Dr Dre. Efter en hektiskt turnésommar sätter man nu de sista detaljerna till skivan som har releasedatum till 3:e oktober. Idag publicerades bilder på skivans omslag, se nedan:

I en radiointervju igår med Power 98 FM fick Kendrick Lamar frågor om Dr Dre´s “Detox”-projekt och svarade:

“Dre is definitely a perfectionist. I’m going to say this, y’all will get it when you get it. When he feels it’s time, then it’s time.”

I radiointervjun berörde Lamar även tanken bakom senaste singeln “Swimming Pools (Drank)” där han behandlar alkohol och dess effekter:

“[‘Swimming Pools’] really just comes from the experience of being in a household where there’s a lot of alcohol. I was growing up in a household where we had lots of house parties and stuff like that, just taking the lifestyle and putting it into a song and getting advice out there [that] you can be a drunk, or you can drink casually.”
