Redman har tagit sin tid att släppa ny musik då det är drygt fyra år sedan förra officiella albumreleasen 2010 “Redman presents…Reggie”. Tidigare i år kunde vi avslöja planerna på att spela in en uppdaterad version av 1996-klassikern “Muddy Waters”, följt av ett emotsett och hyllatsamarbetsprojekt med Method Man; “Blackout 3”.
I en nyligen publicerad intervju med XXL Magazine avslöjar nu Redman att “Muddy waters 2 The Mixtape” släpps i oktober månad, medan vi får vänta till april 2015 för det officiella albumet “Muddy Waters 2”. Därefter följer en release av “Blackout 3”, om tidsplanen håller.
“I’m just working in the studio right now, I’m trying to get Muddy Waters 2: The Mixtape out by the end of October, and the album next year, around April.”
“Usually when I drop a mixtape it’ll be some original and then some over other people’s beats, but this one is gonna be all original so I can distribute it and get the mixtape heard more. You know, with mixtapes, a lot of people hear it but I still wanted it to circulate more so that more people hear it.”
Den 7:e december kommer Redman & Method Man till Stockholm för en spelning på Berns Salonger.
