Freeonsmash.com citerar idag filmsajten Deadline Hollywood som uppger att Q-Tip aktivt arbetar med Leo DiCaprios filmproduktionsbolag Appian Way för att skapa en hiphop-dramaserie för TV. Handlingen för serien uppges utgå från Q-Tips eget liv och hans tidiga karriär under 1980-1990-tal i New York.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are set to create a scripted television series with Q-Tip, which will focus on the New York artist’s experience within the Native Tongues era, during his long-standing career with A Tribe Called Quest. The production is set to follow the rapper’s work in the music industry over the course of the 1980s and 1990s, merging together the relationships and music that helped shape today’s sound, with assists from the two leading actors providing potential for a successful outcome.

I dagsläget finns inte något planerat premiärdatum för serien.
