Ännuen Chicago-rappare skapar kontroverser...

I lördags spelade Lupe Fiasco i Salt Lake City, Utah. Konserten fick dock avbrytas tidigare än väntat eftersom en person i publiken mitt under uppträdandet kastade en tomat som träffade Lupe. Chicago-rapparen, som vid tillfället framförde hitlåten “Kick, Push”, avbröt uppträdandet och pekade ut personen som kastat tomaten. Lupe bad hela sektionen att komma ner på scenen, medan buropen haglade runtom i lokalen. Efter att ha misslyckats med att få ner den skyldige och hennes sällskap till scenen, kallade Lupe kvinnan för “a fat, white bitch” och gick av scenen.

I efterspelet tweetade Lupe sina reaktioner, bland annat:

“Safety first…bitch threw some shit…I asked the balcony to come down to the floor…they said fuck me…so shows over…#SaltyLake hahaha”

och:

“I call her a “fat white bitch” cuz she was a fat white bitch…once you throw things you become a bitch…who just happens to be fat & white”

Just skällsordet “bitch” fick kritik, främst eftersom Lupe tidigare gjort låten “Bitch Bad”, med refrängen: “Bitch Bad, Woman good/ Lady better, they misunderstood”. Ett fan uttryckte sin besvikelse över ordvalet: “@SanaSaeed: I’m a fan and a woman, as I hope you noticed. Never saw you use that word in such a way. Disappointed.” På vilket Lupe svarade “She was a bitch tho..”
