Prisades för årets artist - även Macklemore & Ryan Lewis vann statyett för bästa nykomling.

YouTube Music Video Awards sparkade igång sin första gala med namnkunniga artister: Eminem, Lady Gaga och Arcade Fire till showen som livestreamades via YouTube från New York Pier 36 inatt.

Regissören Spike Jonze är den kreativa hjärnan bakom det hela och skådespelaren Jason Schwartzman är värd för eventet, som också kommer att innehålla musikakter från bland annat Sydkorea, Storbritannien, Ryssland och Brasilien.
