Den legendariska trion från New York tillbaka - meddelar comeback med nytt album till hösten.

Strong Island-trion De La Soul är tillbaka med ny musik och det var ett tag sedan sist gruppen släppte musik tillsammans. Som duon First Serve släppte Plug1 och Plug2 album via Duckdown Records förra året men nu är det dags för De La Soul att åter släppa ett antal singlar under de kommande månaderna. I början av april meddelade gruppen att man först släpper Wu Tang-inspirerade “Get Away”, följt av ett antal singlar. Enligt Billboard ska De La Soul släppa nytt album till hösten med titeln “You’re Welcome”.

Posdnous berättar om skapandet av nya singeln:

“I’ve always loved the ‘Intro’ on Disc Two of Wu-Tang Forever – this erie sample with no beat, that they only talked over. I stumbled on the original sample while crate digging one day, took it straight to the lab and added drums. The feel is definitely gritty, hard and sounds like a Wu record, so out of inspirational respect, we included featuring ‘The Spirit of the Wu’ in the song title.”
