Få har nog missat de senaste veckornas uppmärksammade beef mellan Drake, J. Cole och Kendrick Lamar – av vissa kallade “the Big 3”. Under helgen kastade sig Kanye West också in i sammanhanget genom att hoppa på en remix av “Like That”, där han dissade både Drake och J. Cole.
I ett samtal med vännen Justin Laboy har Ye nu avslöjat hur låten kom till. Han berättar att Future bad honom komma till studion.
“Pluto called me. I went to the studio, laid that, and then we went through the creative process of adding the chords, called the Hooligans, called ’em out in London to get on the joint. Everybody is very, very excited about the elimination of Drake. Not excited. We was energized.”
Ordvalet av “elimination” (utplåning) har noterats av en del, däribland radioprofilen Pete Rosenberg.
Senare i intervjun menar Ye också att J. Coles val att “ångra sig” efter dissen mot Kendrick Lamar är “p***y sh*t” och han hade velat ha trekant med Michelle Obama, vilket han framför på ett mindre sympatiskt sätt genom att tillägga “Gotta fuck the President’s wife!”.
