Är man ett stort hiphopfan, gillar amerikansk fotboll och har pengar över på banken kommer här ett riktigt spännande objekt att lägga vantarna på. Nu läggs nämligen en matchboll från 2022 års redan legendariska Super Bowl ut på auktion. Enligt Billboard har Heritage Auctions införskaffat en Wilson-fotboll signerad av Eminem, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar och Mary J. Blige som kommer att kunna budas hem. I beskrivningen går att läsa:
“In what many referred to as ‘the best Super Bowl halftime show’ of all time, the 2022 Super Bowl LVI show celebrated Hip Hop, its pioneers and current stars, and of course the music of Los Angeles. This leather Wilson ball is signed by Dre, Em, Mary J, Anderson .Paak and Kendrick in bold black ink. The autographs were acquired by our consignor at the Big Game and is one of the finest collectibles we’ve seen from the legendary show.”
Objektet kommer ligga ute för budgivning mellan 12-14 maj, men redan nu ligger ett bud 4,400 dollar. Ett pris som lär öka markant de kommande dagarna. Auktionen finns att se via Heritage Auctions.
“Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show” gick av stapeln den 13 februari på SoFi Stadium i Inglewood, Kalifornien. Showen bjöd på hits från Dr. Dres tunga katalog framförda av Snoop Dogg och Eminem, medan Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent och Mary J. Blige kryddade tillställningen med sin närvaro.
I ett “Drink Champs”-avsnitt nyligen bjöd Snoop Dogg på en del tankar kring showen, där han bland annat uttryckte att han gärna hade velat framföra låtar från sin egen katalog och inte bara Dr. Dre-material.
“Let me tell you what you didn’t see that you ain’t saying anything about. You didn’t hear ‘Nuthin But A ‘G Thang’ you didn’t hear shit from Death Row. What about that era? That didn’t mean nothing? So you got to look at Dr. Dre’s mind state. Whatever he was on, he was on. That was his show. They asked him to perform so whoever he wanted to bring to the party, he had the right to”, säger han bland annat.
