Så sent som i november blev Snoh Aalegra utsedd till Best New Artist på den anrika musikgalan Soul Train Awards. Detta efter att ha släppt sitt tredje album “– Ugh, those feels again” året innan. Trots att vår svenska diamant knappt släppte musik under 2020 finns hon nu med bland de stora namn som nomineras till priser på iHeart Radio Music Awards 2021. Den 27 maj återvänder galan för åttonde året i rad, då den livesänds direkt från Los Angeles.

Bland de nominerade artisterna hittar vi, utöver Snoh, namn som: Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Drake, Dua Lipa, Future, H.E.R., Jhené Aiko, Justin Bieber, Megan Thee Stallion, Pop Smoke, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Summer Walker och The Weeknd.

Den L.A-baserade svenska sångerskan är nominerad i kategorierna Best New R&B Artist och R&B Artist of the Year, där hon i den senare tävlar med namn som Jhené Aiko, Summer Walker, H.E.R. och Chris Brown.

Intressant är att man verkar ha tolkat Pop Smokes artistnamn bokstavligt, då han är nominerad i kategorin Best New Pop Artist…
