Kanye Wests nästa projekt efter att till slut ha släppt sitt senaste album “Jesus Is King” med en tillhörande behind the scenes-film verkar bli en opera. Under söndagen postade han en bild på ett artwork designat av Nick Knight, där datumet 24:e november framgår. Operan ska vara regisserad av Vanessa Beecroft och få titeln “Nebuchadnezzar”, vilket uppenbarligen är en referens till den babyloniska kungen med samma namn.

Inför “Jesus Is King” pratade Kanye med Zane Lowe om just Nebuchadnezzar och likheterna mellan deras uppgång och fall. Han sa då:
“[God] is saying, Let me take this Nebuchadnezzar-type character—Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon, and he looked at his entire kingdom and said, I did this. I stood on the top of the mountain talking about Yeezus, saying, ‘I’m a God’—I had a guy dressed as Jesus.”
“And now—I am unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artist of all time. It’s not even a question at this point. It’s just a fact. For the greatest artist in human existence to put a red hat on was God’s practical joke to all liberals. Like, ‘Nooo, not Kanye!”
Igår söndag tog Kanye sin Sunday Service till kontroversielle pastorn Joel Osteens Lakewood Church, där han både uppträdde och blev intervjuad om sin väg till Gud. Se klipp nedan!
