Har du under årens lopp sett Blackalicious live på scen är chansen stor att Vursatyl funnits med på scen. En av grundarna bakom Quannum Projects-kollektivet, Chief Excel, upptäckte Portland-duon Lifesavas med Vursatyl i slutet av 1990-talet och signade gruppen till etiketten. Efter två albumreleaser med Lifesavas bjöd Vursatyl i vintras på första smakprovet från sitt soloprojekt och nu finns debutalbumet solo, “Crooked Straights”, i butik. Skivbolaget BBE beskriver skivan:
