”Just having fun was the main thing we wanted to do with this album.”

Inatt släppte Roddy Ricch ”Feed Tha Streets III” – det tredje albumet i serien från 2017. Redan i december förra året, bara några dagar efter att ha släppt sitt andra studioalbum ”Live Life Fast”, meddelade han att det skulle komma ett till ”Feed Tha Streets”-projekt. Under de månaderna som följt efter tillkännagivandet har Compton-rapparen släppt ett antal singlar från skivan, bland annat ”Aston Martin Truck”, ”Stop Breathing” och Lil Durk-samarbetet ”Twin”.  Men det var inte förrän några veckor sedan som han gick ut med det officiella releasedatumet på sociala medier. 

Det 15 spår långa albumet har gjorts tillsammans med namn som Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Durk, Sonic, Turbo och Cubeatz med flera. 

Roddy Rich, som precis avslutat sin Nordamerika-turné med Post Malone, intervjuades nyligen av Apple Musics Zane Lowe. Till Lowe berättar han att det viktigaste med albumet var att få ge hans fans den bästa musikupplevelsen. 

“Yeah, I feel like just having fun was the main thing we wanted to do with this album. At this point, we’re not worried about…I feel like just, I didn’t want to worry about too much outside things, you know what I’m saying? Just period. I didn’t want to worry about anything outside of the studio. I wanted to worry about the music the most and give my fans the best experience.”

Han fortsätter med att reflektera över sin karriär och berättar att han från och med nu kommer att jobba ännu hårdare än tidigare. 

“I feel like I’m young, so this is the time to do it. I feel like hard work beat everything. I feel like hard work is one of those things that, you know, you can’t really stop. If somebody work harder then they might last longer, it might be a little better. You know what I’m saying? So that’s where we at, that’s the space we want to stay in.”
