För tre år sedan släppte Dublin-fostrade rapparen Rejjie Snow albumet “Dear Annie”, en skiva som möttes av fina omdömen och recensioner. Nu är den Los Angeles-baserade rapparen aktuell med nya albumet “Baw Baw Black Sheep”, med gäsinhopp av både MF DOOM och albumaktuella svenska Snoh Aalegra. I ett utskick berättar Rejjie om processen bakom nya albumet:
“I approached it lightheartedly from the point of view of making a short film through music. I always loved Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. I watch it all the time. I thought of Baw Baw BlackSheep like a soundtrack to it. I put the movie on with my album, and they synced up perfectly. I tried to tap into all of these feelings. The music is really colorful, and the lyrics are often happy, because that was my state of mind.”
Under hösten 2021 och våren 2022 åker Rejjie Snow ut på UK/Europa-turnén “By Myself Tour”. Inga spelningar är inbokade i Sverige men han ska komma till Köpenhamn 8 mars 2022.
