För att avsluta jubileumsåret 2023 samlade Rock The Bells Radio en panel bestående av DJ Epps, Cool (från Cool & Dre), DJ Scratch och Torae för att analysera och kora de 50 bästa hiphop-beatsen någonsin. Strax innan nyår kom panelen fram till de fem främsta produktionerna någonsin, enligt deras åsikt.
På förstaplatsen landade panelen i det gemensamma beslutet att utse Havoc-producerade Mobb Deep-låten “Shook Ones Pt. II” till “best hiphop beat of all time”. Låten är från Queensbridge-duons andra albumprojekt “The Infamous” som släpptes 1995. I ett uttalande tackar Havoc ödmjukt för äran:
“I just want to say how honored I am to have ‘Shook Ones Pt. II’ by Mobb Deep produced by myself, voted number one Hip Hop beat of all time.”
Han minns även tillbaka hur låten kom till:
“I remember being in the projects in Queensbridge, me and Prodigy just being there trying to make something for the world to hear our voice. And here we are this many years later, being saluted and held as the number one beat and Hip Hop greatest of all time.”
“But I just want to say thank you to all the Hip Hop fans, rest in peace to my brother Prodigy. He would be just excited — as excited as I am, and I just want to thank all y’all fans, man. Salute.”
