Redan 2019 meddelade rapparen och producenten Havoc i Mobb Deep, att han arbetade på ett nytt albumprojekt med postuma vokaler av rapkollegan Prodigy. I en intervju med Talib Kweli och podcasten Peoples Party bekräftar Havoc nu att arbetet fortskrider med Mobb Deep-albumet och säger:

“I’m actively working on a Mobb Deep album now, as we speak. The family blessed me with a bunch of vocals [by Prodigy] and soon as I leave here, I’m goin’ back to work.”

Havoc kunde även bekräfta att han arbetar på ny musik med Method Man, RJ Payne och Ras Kass.

I en ny intervju med radiostationen SiriusXM fick Havoc även frågan om vilket hans favoritalbum med Mobb Deep är och svarade:

“The Infamous, because it catapulted us. A lot of the supporters be like, ‘Yo, Infamous is dope but Hell on Earth is crazy.’ But, for me, the reason why I say The Infamous [over Hell on Earth is] because without The Infamous album bringing us back from an album that didn’t really do good [Juvenile Hell], we probably wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you.”

Prodigy avled 2017 och förra året släpptes det postuma albumet “The Hegelian Dialectic 2: The Book of Heroine” som går att lyssna på nedan.
