Förra hösten släppte The Firm-rapparen AZ nya albumet “Doe Or Die 2” – nu är även Queens-kollegan Cormega tillbaka med nya albumprojektet “The Realness 2” som gästas av Nas och Lloyd Banks. Bakom produktionen står även veteraner som Havoc från Mobb Deep och Large Professor från Main Source. I en intervju med Allhiphop berättade Cormega om arbetet med projektet:

“I’ve learned to be patient. My greatest acquisition in the last 10 years is patience. And another acquisition is empathy. Sometimes you want an artist or a producer to do something and they say they are gonna do it and they take long. Or they just front. There were a couple of artist that I waited on and one of them fronted on me.”

Han berättade vidare att inspelningen av albumet har tagit sin tid, något han är stolt över:

“The finished product is something I can be proud of. I’m excited about this album. I’ve seen a man cry after hearing one of these songs and he was with a woman.”
