I samband med premiären av nya Tv-serien “Swarm” släpper Donald Glover släpps nu ny musik genom alteregot Childish Gambino. Det har gått hela tre år sedan Gambino släppte albumet “3.15.20” och tidigare har Glover förklarat för Huffpost varför han har tudelade känslor kring att fortsätta artisteriet under aliaset:

“Like, I feel like there’s gotta be a reason to do things and I always had a reason to be punk. Being punk just always felt really good to me and we always looked at Atlanta as a punk show and I feel like the direction I would go with Childish Gambino wouldn’t be punk anymore.”

Med jämna mellanrum verkar dock skapandelusten falla på igen och i januari sade han:

“I’m making music right now. I love it. I’m actually working. I’m in the studio. I’ve been, like, bringing people in — like secret people. Like, working on little things. But I’ve just been, like, making it for fun for right now. But soon, something will happen I promise. Something will happen.”

Serien “The Swarm” har premiär 17 mars på Amazon Prime Video.
