Inför att BROCKHAMPTON skulle uppträdda på Coachella i våras avslöjade gruppen att man skulle släppa ett sista album. Sagt och gjort så släppte gruppen/kollektivet nya albumet “The Family” under torsdagen.

Var det slut där? Nej, det fanns en sista överraskning för fansen att glädja sig åt. Under natten mot fredag överraskade gruppen med ytterligare (!) ett albumprojekt med titeln “TM”. Skivan ska spelats in vid sessioner i Kalifornien under 2021, där medlemmen Matt Champion agerade exekutiv producent.

Båda dessa projekt har beskrivits som “parting gifts for the fans” och Kevin Abstract skrev ett känsloladdat inlägg i samband med releaserna under torsdagen och fredagen:

“I understand that some of the fans are upset that no one is on the album but me. Over the past few years, the members of the band began to move our separate ways, and focus on our individual careers and passions. With this project, a few of us were inspired to make something new that would bring closure to the past, and set the table for all of us to finally be able to explore our individual futures. I hope you understand and enjoy the music.”
