Benny The Butcher avslöjar osläppt musik med Nas, Meek Mill och Scarface

Benny The Butcher är minst sagt i ropet med tanke på att han har sitt första projekt med Def Jam på gång. Häromdagen släppte Benny nya singeln och musikvideon till “BRON” med Hit-Boy (se nedan). Men även en hel del osläppt musik som onekligen låter spännande.

Utöver det eventuellt skrotade samarbetet med Drake, som länge irriterat fans, berättar han i en ny intervju med “The Breakfast Club” att även andra stora namn finns på hårddiskarna.

“I got a record with Meek [Mill] that nobody never heard. And I actually did the record with Meek like a week before I did the record with Drake, y’know what I’m saying?”, säger han bland annat.

“I got a record with Nas the world never heard […] Hit Boy produced it. It’s clearing these records — that’s what it is. It’s the next level of the business. I got a record with Scarface, The Mekanix.”

Benny The Butcher har redan en gedigen lista över stora samarbeten, med namn som J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Ross och bortgångna DMX. Men låten med Drake är ett störningsmoment både för Benny och hans fans.

I intervjun med “The Breakfast Club” berör han ämnet kort, men förra året förklarade han mer i detalj varför låten aldrig släpptes i en intervju med Joe Budden. Åtminstone till viss mån.

“I don’t know [what happened] neither. I can’t speak for [Drake] and his team … I got schedules. I might do a feature for somebody and they be like, ‘Benny, we ready to drop this Tuesday.’ And I’m like, ‘N-gga, you ain’t dropping that Tuesday ’cause we holding off, I got this.’

That’s the biggest artist in the world so I understand his release schedule might be hectic or he might have people that be like, ‘We can’t drop that right now because we doing this.’ I understand that. He’s the name, but he represents a lot of people that he works with and his moves affect a lot of people, so I understand that part.”

Han var också tydlig med att han inte var sur på Drake utan uppskattade mest att han ville samarbeta.

“I don’t take it to heart. No way did I take it like, ‘Damn, he fucked me over!’ I swear to God, I don’t take it like that because this is muthafucking Drake, the biggest artist in the world. Even for him to hit me up personally, that lets me know where he at.”
