Ohio-rapparen Stalley var under flera års tid kopplad till Rick Ross och Maybach Music Group. 2017 bröt han med The Bawse och gick independent. I slutet av oktober kom nyheten att han släpper nytt albumprojekt med Detroit-producenten Apollo Brown, via skivbolaget Mello Music Group. På det kommande albumet “Blacklight” gästar Joell Ortiz, Skyzoo och Omari Hardwick (den sistmämnde känd som “Ghost” i TV-serien “Power”). I samband med albumreleasen denna fredag släpps även musikvideon till titelspåret “Blacklight”. I ett pressutskick kommenterar Apollo Brown om titelspåret från projektet:
“This was the song that obviously inspired the title of the album. When you shine a Blacklight, you tend to illuminate things that you can’t see with the naked eye” Apollo Brown affirmed. “This metaphor speaks for you, others, and the world in general. Stalley effortlessly shines that UV all throughout the album.”
