Längtan efter ett nytt album från 6LACK har varit stor. Han debuterade 2016 med ”FREE 6LACK” och följde två år senare upp med ”East Atlanta Love Letter”. Idag släpps hans tredje album ”Since I Have A Lover” som handlar om kärlek och om att växa som människa när man går igenom tuffa perioder. I ett inlägg på Instagram öppnar han upp om albumet:
”(…) if you know me, you know how much healing went into making this project. It’s where I am. Where I wanna be. It’s my feelings. It knows itself. And it was designed to help other people (like every other album). I am who I think I am and that means the most. Enjoy!!!! Celebrate self love, family love, friend love, love for your craft, as many diff versions of it as you can while you’re here on earth. Cheers to better communication, and healthier everything!”
Den 19 spår långa skivan inleds med en inspelning av ett fan som önskar att 6LACK släpper ny musik och bland gästartisterna finns samarbeten med Wale, Don Toliver, Quin, India Shawn och Ty Dolla Sign. Producenterna som står bakom skivan är Leon Thomas, OZ, Fwdslxsh, Scribz Riley och Olu of Earthgang med flera.
