Kanye West avbröt under uppmärksammade former sitt samarbete med Nike tidigare i vinter och skrev istället ett lukrativt kontrakt med Adidas. Under sin pågående turné i Tyskland bjöd Kanye sin vana trogen på mellansnack där han avslöjade information om sin kommande Adidas-kollektion. Kanye, som är Sverige-aktuell i slutet av juni med spelning på Bråvalla Festival, avslöjade att kollektionen går under arbetsnamnet “YEEZi´s” och kommer att presenteras under juni månad våren 2015. “To get to the point to be able to make your own shoe and have people react to it was such an amazing feeling that I can never let that go…It’s nothing I love more than to sit there and put the fabrics together and think about the way people will react to the creations in real life,” he said. “The way they can use these products, shoes, coats, jackets, in real life. And I know it just looks weird when you see someone that’s so famous for one thing attempt to create in a different space…Today I’m not coming to you saying ‘Hey, I wanna be the next Walt Disney and the next Steve Jobs.’ My usual stuff I usually say. I’m saying with this opportunity to create I feel like I can be myself”
