Fear of God Athletics släpper en limiterad kapselkollektion med plagg för att hylla Bob Marleys arv, i samband med den biografiska filmen “Bob Marley: One Love”, som fick premiär igår.
Det var Jerry Lorenzo, som är grundare av märket Fear of God, som delade bilder på två stycken plagg på Instagram under onsdagen. På både hoodien och t-shirten ser man en bild på Bob Marley när han spelar fotboll.
“This was a deal between Fear of God Athletics and the Marley Estate…. We pushed to make it happen. The love between the two families is undeniable”, säger Lorenzo i ett uttalande.
Till Far Out Magazine säger Bob Marleys personliga fotograf och vän Dennis Morris att få se Marley spela fotboll var “magiskt”.
“I never really took photos of him while he played football because I really just wanted to watch him play. Because it was his joy, and it was the only time he had to relax, so that was really when I would put the camera down”, säger Morris.
Lorenzo säger också i ett uttalande att Marley var den inofficiella ambassadören för Adidas.
“The 3 Stripes number one global unofficial ambassador in the world, and without a doubt the most influential…the reason 3 Stripes had any cultural meaning to me as a kid.”
Kollektionen kommer att släppas imorgon den 16 februari, exklusivt via Fear of Gods hemsida. Filmen “Bob Marley: One Love” visas på svenska biografer just nu.
