I fjol återvände Emmy Awards med sin första fysiska gala sedan pandemin, tack vare sitt sena datum. Nu är galan tillbaka med den 74:e upplagan och 2022 års vinnare. Efter att den separata prisutdelningen för Emmys Creative Arts-priser delats ut i början av september – där bland annat halvtidsshowen i Super Bowl vann trippla priser – presenterades inatt vinnarna i Primetime Emmys.
Inför galan ledde HBO:s “Succession” med 12 nomineringar (25 totalt inklusive Creative Arts Emmy Awards) med “The White Lotus” tätt bakom med 11. Just HBO och HBO Max är kanalen/streamingtjänsten med överlägset flest nomineringar, där drygt 50 räknas som “stora” och 140 totalt. Därefter kommer Hulu och Netflix med 26 respektive 23.
Det blev också “Succession” som skulle ta hem Best Drama, medan “Ted Lasso” fortsätter att vara populär och bland annat ta hem kategorin Best Comedy. “The White Lotus” utsågs till Best Limited Series medan “Squid Game”, “Euphoria” och “Hacks” också prisades.
