Emmygalan gick igår av stapeln i USA, för andra gången i år. Den 75:e upplagan hölls som bekant i januari, då den sköts upp från sitt sedvanliga september-datum på grund av Hollywood-strejken. Den 76:e upplagan bjöd på far- och sonduo som värdpar i form av Eugene och Dan Levy och inför galan ledde japanska FX-serien “Shōgun“ (25) och superpopulära “The Bear” (23) nomineringarna.
Det skulle också bli dessa – och framförallt “Shōgun” – som skulle få skina under natten svensk tid. Efter att Jon Bernthal och Jamie Lee Curtis tidigare denna månad annonserats som Emmy-vinnare för “The Bear”-avsnittet “Fishes”, skrev serien historia genom att vinna flest statyetter under galan för en komediserie. Totalt kammade Hulu-serien hem 11 kategorier.
Men allra bäst var “Shōgun”, som skrev tv-historia genom att vinna hela 18 priser på galan.
