"Every story has a beginning".

I helgen annonserade Netflix premiärdatumet för prequel-serien till tittarfavoriten “The Witcher”. Spinnoff-serien med namnet ”Blood Origin” släpps den 25 december och sträcker sig över fyra avsnitt.

Historien baseras på “The Witcher”s tema; monster, människor och älvor som möts i en fantasivärld. Men för första gången kommer tittarna få reda på vad som hände 1200 år innan “The Witcher”. Netflix själva beskriver uppföljaren så här:

”Every story has a beginning. Witness the untold history of the Continent with The Witcher: Blood Origin, a new prequel series set in an elven world 1200 years before the events of The Witcher. Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – exploring the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal ‘Conjunction of the Spheres’, when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one”.

Vad vi vet än så länge består rollistan av Michelle Yeoh (“Avatar 2”) och Minnie Driver (“Fantomen på Operan”). Minnie Driver kommer figurera som voice over och guida tittarna genom historien.

“The Witcher” baseras på bästsäljande bokserien med samma namn av Andrzej Sapkowski. Den vanliga serien är tillbaka sommaren 2023 på Netflix.
