Senast 2017 kom filmen “War for the Planet of the Apes” och tidigare i år avslutades inspelningarna av nya “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”. Handlingen i den kommande filmen beskrivs som följer:

“…set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.”

“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” är regisserad av Wes Ball och i rollerna syns bland annat Owen Teague, Kevin Durand, Freya Allen, William H. Macy och Peter Macon.

Filmen har ett preliminärt premiärdatum till 24 maj 2024, men det är inte bekräftat när den når svenska biografer.
