NFL Films och Netflix har för första gången gått ihop och producerar nu en ny dokumentärserie om amerikansk fotboll som heter ”Quarterback”. I serien får tittarna följa tre quarterbacks bakom kulisserna under förra årets säsong. Det är Patrick Mahomes (bilden) från Kansas City Chiefs, Kirk Cousins från Minnesota Vikings och Marcus Mariota från The Atlanta Falcons.
För produktionen står Peyton Mannings Omaha Productions och Patrick Mahomes nygrundade 2PM Productions tillsammans med NFL Films och Netflix.
Patrick Mahomes hade en händelserik säsong 2022. Utöver att vinna titeln ”Most Valuable Player” för andra året i rad så ledde han sitt lag till den andra Super Bowl-vinsten på fyra år. När det gäller Kirk Cousins så ledde han Minnesota Vikings till en vinst i NFC North Division, dock förlorade laget den första playoff-matchen. Och Marcus Mariota spelade hela 13 matcher för The Atlanta Falcons innan han under den andra halvan av säsongen råkade ut för en knäskada.
I ett uttalande om dokumentärserien säger Patrick Mahomes:

This new Netflix series will show the time, preparation and balance that it takes to be an NFL quarterback and perform on the biggest stage”.

”Quarterback” har premiär på Netflix sommaren 2023.
