Under söndagen hölls den 73:e upplagan av den prestigefyllda film/TV-ceremonin Golden Globes i Beverly Hills, Kalifornien. Galans värd var den omtalade komikern Ricky Gervais, vars öppningsmonolog fått blandad kritik (föga förvånande) i flera medier. Leonardo DiCaprio och hans film “The Revenant” gick vinnande ur flera kategorier bland annat för Bästa film och Bästa manliga huvudroll.

Jamie Foxx, som presenterade vinnaren för Bästa musik till en film, gjorde en parodi på årets Miss Universe-värd Steve Harvey och läste felaktigt upp N.W.A.-dramat “Straight Outta Compton” och Ice Cube som vinnare men som sedermera gick till den legendariske kompositören Ennio Morricone för filmen “The Hateful Eight”.

Svenskan Alicia Vikander var nominerad för Bästa kvinnliga huvudroll i dramat “The Danish Girl” och Bästa kvinnliga bi-roll i filmen “Ex machina” men gick dessvärre hem utan några statyetter.
