Under söndagskvällen var det åter dags för Emmy Awards i Los Angeles, denna gång med skådespelarprestationer och TV-serier i fokus. Svenske skådespelaren Alexander Skarsgård prisades för sin roll som Perry Wright i HBO Nordic-serien “Big Little Lies”. I sitt tacktal sade Skarsgård:
“På tal om fantastiska kvinnor vill jag också tacka min mor, som flugit hela vägen från Stockholm för att vara här i kväll. Det betyder väldigt mycket för mig…”
Även Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) prisades med ett flertal statyetter för serien “Atlanta” och bland vinnarna noterades även prestationer och serier i främst “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “Veep”, “Saturdaynight Live” och tidigare nämnda “Big Little Lies”.
