Se “Succession”-stjärnan Brian Cox sammanfatta “Tekken”-spelseriens 30-åriga historia – inför släppet av “Tekken 8”

I en lika oväntad som briljant marknadsföring har spelserien “Tekken” tagit hjälp av “Succession”-stjärnan Brian Cox för att sammanfatta spelets 30-åriga historia.

Igår publicerades en fem minuter lång video kan vi se och höra 77-åringen berätta “The Story So Far” om “Tekken”-franchisen, vars resa började 1994. Det innebär alltså också att man i år firar 30-årsjubileum och släppet av det tionde spelet i ordningen: “Tekken 8”.

“Every single fight, no matter how big or small, has a story behind it. There’s one hell of a story to tell. … But how did we even get to this point? What the hell’s a Devil Gene? And why do these fathers and sons keep throwing each other off cliffs?”, säger Cox bland annat.

I en kortare sammanfattning av spelföretaget bakom spelet, Bandai Namco, går att läsa följande:

“In ‘Tekken 8’, as ‘The Dark Awakens,’ Kazuya Mishima’s vision of hell on earth is now threatening all of humanity. After Heihachi’s defeat, the world has descended into chaos with Kazuya’s power growing and his G Corporation wreaking worldwide havoc. The only one who can stop him is his own son, Jin Kazama, but only if he can reignite the unspeakable power of Devil Jin that runs through his veins.”

“Tekken 8” släpps den 26 januari 2024 och klippet går att se i sin helhet nedan.
