Portugisiska superstjärnan Cristiano Ronaldo kommer premiärspela i sina nya Mercurial Superfly CR7 under helgens match i Madrid. Den nya skon har Mercurial Superflys klassiska, svarta siluett med en skimrande twist och finns tillgänglig i både högt och lågt skaft.
“These new boots are well-suited for me because they’re elegant, beautiful, and they really shine in a new and different way,” said Ronaldo. “I’ve always liked trying out new boots, new collections, new colors. Obviously it’s a special game against a big team this week, and I’m excited to play in boots that I feel so good in.”
“Our team was really inspired by the idea of taking a classic color and making it look totally new,” berättar Max Blau, VP Global Football Footwear. “What we’ve done here is create a completely new way to look at black. This boot should set a new bar on-pitch.”
Den skimrande effekten på nya Mercurial Superfly CR7 är skapad genom en ny tolkning av Nike Skin-teknologi.
“We knew we wanted to create this shimmering effect on-pitch, and do something that would really stand out in the sun or under lights, but it took us many iterations to get it just right,” säger Blau.
“The idea was inspired by Cristiano,” fortsätter Blau. “His technical ability makes him the best attacking player in the game, and the way he shows up in big matches and really shines, is what makes him the best there is.”
Mercurial Superfly CR7 är också byggd för hastighet. Med hjälp sin dynamiska passform och texturerade Nike Flyknit-överdel är den skapad för att efterlikna en barfotakänsla och låta foten komma närmare både bollen och marken för att ge oöverträffad kontroll. En responsiv bottenplatta i kolfiber ger ytterligare explosivitet oavsett riktning.
“When Cristiano saw the boot for the first time, he instantly took to it,” säger Blau. “He told us he loved the sophisticated elegance of the boot and the fact that it looked fit for a ‘Gala’.
Den nya Mercurial CR7 finns också tillgänglig i siluetten av Mercurial Vapor X, vilket gör det möjligt för spelare att själva välja vilken skafthöjd som passar dem.
Mercurial Vapors syntetiska överdel är designad med inbyggd plös för maximal fixering av foten och utvändigt klädd med ett texturerat ytskikt.
Mercurial Superfly CR7 och Vapor X kommer att finnas till försäljning exklusivt via Nike Football App för iOS och Android, med start 23/10 samt på nike.com från 24/10.
